Welcome

Welcome to the Student Assessment System.

The Student Assessment System is to be used by Students, Markers/Assessors, and school Administration.

The Student Assessment System allows students to upload their completed assignments, and view the status of previous submissions.

Once an assignment is submitted, the system will perform an automated plagarism check. If the assignment passes the plagarism check, the correct Marker for that subject will receive a notification. If the Marker does not accept the submission within a set time, then other Markers will be notified.

Once a Marker accepts the submission they will grade it using the built in guides and requirements. The grading can be saved part way through, so as to allow the Marker to leave and return to complete later. Once the grading is completed the Marker will submit the grading to the system. The Student, as well as the Admin, are notified of the completed grading, and the grade assigned.

If the submission has failed, the Student can read the comments and suggestions from the Marker, and resubmit at a future date.

If the submission has passed with the highest grade possible (possible levels are Pass, Merit, and Distinction), then the Administrator will send the submission for final grading.

If the submission has passed, but not achieved the highest grade possible (which may be Merit or Distinction), then the student has the choice to have it sent for final grading, or held while they make suggested changes and resubmit for a higher grading.

Monthly, the system will automatically generate invoices for Markers, and notify Administrators of the new invoices.

Statistics:

  • For Students, the system records and tracks statistics based on the plagarism check, as well as on the percentage of pass and fail grades. These can be viewed by the Student, as well as Administrators.
  • For Markers, the system records the percentage of pass and fail grades issued. These can be viewed by the Marker, as well as Administrators.
  • Administrators are also be able to see a combined pass/fail ratio for all students in the school.
