Some assignments require you to deliver your presentation (if your assignment does not specifically state to create and deliver the presentation, then it is not required). When that is required you can use Zoom to record the delivery of your presentation. This can be to an audience, or in an empty Zoom room with a pretend audience.
Remember to select "Share screen" and select the presentation so that the viewer (and the recording) shows your presentation.
Record your presentation and submit the file (.MP4 preferred). If possible, the file size should be less than 20 Mb. If your presentation is longer than 10 minutes, you may wish to reduce your camera settings.
Note: submitting a .PPSX file is not an acceptable video format.
If you can not record yourself because you do not have a camera, or due to religious reasons, please mention this in your Word document, or contact the school to arrange accomodations.
Bonus points are given when your audience asks questions at the end and you answer them. When you have no real audience, you can still ask for questions, then say something like "Okay, Susan asked '{insert question}'. Thank you Susan, that's a good question. {give answer}".
Even with a real audience, repeating the question back before answering achieves 3 things:
- It lets the questioner know you heard them correctly (active listening),
- It allows other audience members to hear what the question was, and
- It gives you a few seconds to consider your answer before you start talking.
